This one’s a bit of an oldie circa 2008.
A bike network developed with Sunny Wong.
If we got stuck for ideas we would actually jump on a bike and just ride in circles around the architecture courtyard whilst shouting at each other.
Probably just posting to remind myself it’s there.
It’s something I’ve been wanting to revisit for a while.
The blurb read like this:

Connections …
We are trying to create a network of interconnected nodes that even though they may stand separately will work together to allow cyclists to move through the city efficiently.
The small nodes will be serviced by a larger bike station hub that can provide all the services required by cyclists. (That’s the a+b+c+d+e bit)
Is there a way that the architectural language of our stations can work at a micro and macro scale ?
If we investigate modularity can the parts be combined to service various conditions succesfully?

Anyway — Don’t think the built outcome was overly successful with my first attempt so maybe get lucky second time round ?
1st cut is here
